Squash and Racketball Court
The court has an adjustable rear wall that accommodates both racquetball and squash court dimensions. Depending on which court length is preferred, a sliding mechanism allows the wall to be easily moved and locked into place. An option to play badminton is available by screwing in a net to the court wall. A container is available to store the badminton net when not in use.
Access to the court is on the Rec Centre's lower level. A picture window on the main level allows court viewing.
Appropriate sports attire is encouraged and indoor athletic shoes with non-marking soles are mandatory.

Booking
Due to the popularity of the racquet courts during weekday evenings and Saturday mornings, it is recommended that racquetball and squash enthusiasts book their game times in advance using our booking system, Wellness Living Times may be booked in one hour increments. As a courtesy, consecutive bookings are discouraged. However, if the court remains un-booked during your hour, you will have the advantage of booking another hour.
Priority will always be given to the registered fitness classes and those residents who have a booking.

Alternate Uses
During times of non-peak usage, some UHA members have found creative alternate uses for the racquet court. Taking advantage of the large, bright and relatively sound-proof room, some residents enjoy the space to practice Tai Chi and similar disciplines. Occasionally the court has been booked by Uplands dance soloists seeking extra practices during festival times.
If residents wish to book the court during non-peak times for something other than racquet sports, please call the facility manager (see Contacts) for permission.
Remember, only soft-soled, non-marking, indoor shoes will be allowed on the court. Dancers -- NO tap or character shoes!
