Having a party?
The main floor of the Uplands Recreation Centre features a lounge or "event room" that is used for social events as well as business functions. The 1233 square foot lounge boasts a vaulted ceiling, stone fireplace, picture windows with a stain glass window and wrap-around deck with mountain and city views. Several leather couches and chairs, and end-tables can be easily rearranged to create desired conversational groupings. Lighting is provided by wall sconces and suspended fixtures.
For comfort and room, the recommended capacity of the entire lounge is 70 guests. However, the set maximum occupancy for dining and beverage is 90. Leather lounge chair seating will accommodate 13. Sip wine and watch the sunset over the mountains.
Fifteen 6' X 30" rectangular banquet tables and 90 stacking chairs are are available for use.
AV Equipment and Dinnerware are available for rental.
The parking lot has space for approximately 40 vehicles.
The fireplace is wood-burning and residents must supply their own logs.
