We will re-open the facility again by appointment only for Pool/Hot tub & Squash Court usage for residents only. Existing bookings will be honored. If you can not attend your booking please cancel so that the waiting list can be notified or a new booking can be done. Please review your bookings to refresh yourself on your booked times. We strongly requests that only 1 booking per household per week at maximum. We have at this time 16 available booking spots each week and more will be added when we can accommodate.
Due to COVID-19 we are not able to provide all the services and amenities as before. The Event room will be opened at later date for functions and meetings with the exception of the Fitness Program. We are also changing how we do things and taking measures to keep everyone safe at our facilities.
A soft launch and access to the Squash court, pool & hot tub will be by appointment only. With physical distancing we will only allow 1 family cohort at a time in the facility for either Squash court or pool/hot tub. This will allow for cleaning between facility usage. If you have any questions respecting our online booking process, please feel free to email Darlene at uha@shaw.ca
To ensure safety of staff and residents we are introducing COVID-19 terms and conditions in alignment with provincial public health guidelines. These include access by appointment, physical distancing, masks and face coverings, gathering restrictions, hand hygiene and staying home if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
In the Recreation Centre, you are requested to wear a mask whenever you are not actively engaging in a physical activity.
For example, masks must be worn: in the lobby, in transit from one area to another area in the facility, in washroom/change rooms – except when showering and you can remove your mask before entering the pool

Uplands residents are automatically members of the Uplands Homeowners Association (UHA). Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the UHA is a not-for-profit corporation, established to manage the community facilities.
The UHA protects its members' rights and privileges and provides democratic regulatory administration.
The Uplands has been very grateful as a recipient of the CFEP (Community Facility Enhancement Program). The grants that have been received to date fund 50% of the capital projects that this facility has been working on since 2010. This program provides the funding to purchase, build, renovate or upgrade our facilities.
