This is a reminder to review the Architectural and Development Guidelines. Initially prepared by Melcor (the developer of the Uplands) as a part of the “Restrictive Covenant as to the Use of Land”, the objective of these controls was to establish exterior design standards for our community and to serve as the basis for the controls on any exterior development or changes of residences.
Please check your title and contact The Board of Directors through the Office for making any exterior changes in order to save some very costly error especially roof replacement. These guidelines remain in effect and are partially listed below as a reminder to residents of the Uplands.
Materials & Colours
Walls – brick, siding, stucco in light earth tones
Roofs – cedar shakes or concrete tile in earth tone colors, Class 4 Asphalt
Fences – design spec’s for posts, rails, vertical boards as per perimeter fencing. Although additional fencing is discouraged, green wire chain link as per original fencing is also acceptable. Colors are to be per perimeter fencing – Flood Paint, Sugar Cane #310 Panels, and with Chamois #304 Trim, available at General Paint, Cloverdale, Benjamin Moore or Delux Paints.All fences, including perimeter and walkway fences, are on resident property and area the responsibility of the owner to maintain both sides including painting, replacement of damaged or rotten boards and posts, and grass trimming.

Colors are to be per exterior perimeter fencing – Flood Paint- Sugar Cane #310 Panels, and with Chamois #304 Trim Available at General Paint, Cloverdale, Benjamin Moore or Delux Paints.
